Job summary

Qualifications

• Engineering fundamentals applied to boilers and pressure vessels.
• Familiar with federal/state regs, codes and practices.
• Proficient with computers and related software (spreadsheets, word processing).
• 3–5 years in plant operations/maintenance focusing on inspection and maintenance planning.
• Valid driver's license (Hawaii or other state).
• Ability to work in a demanding environment and adapt to priorities.
• Welding/inspection experience is desirable.
• National Board Commission within 12 months; R Endorsement within 18 months.

Responsibilities

• Schedule, coordinate and perform boiler and pressure vessel inspections.
• Provide technical support for overhauls and repairs with QA adherence.
• Review maintenance records and advise on compliance with standards.
• Offer on-site technical support and train personnel as needed.
• Contribute to safety and maintenance process improvements.
• Develop condition assessment programs for critical equipment.
• Assist in outage planning and vendor coordination.
• Maintain records and provide cost/benefit analyses when required.
