Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1 year of verifiable experience in an industrial/mechanical/trade/utility environment.
• Possesses a valid driver’s license and ability to be insured by Indiana University on hire.
• Proficient communication skills and strong professionalism are expected.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently and follow instructions.

Responsibilities

• Perform ash and soot removal, unload coal trucks, fill bunkers, and conduct general coal maintenance.
• Boiler operation, water treatment, and boiler maintenance tasks.
• Monitor chilled water systems and respond to alarms.
• Attend mandatory training and other duties related to utility production and distribution systems.
