  • Fabrication Process Improvement & Analytics: support data-driven process improvement across manufacturing operations.
  • Analyze production performance, identify bottlenecks and waste, support continuous-improvement projects.
  • Develop dashboards or visual management tools and work with manufacturing teams to improve safety, quality, cost, delivery, and flow.
  • Possible assignments include analyzing fabrication data, supporting Lean projects, developing dashboards, and partnering with across functions to implement improvements.

Position Responsibilities:

Fabrication Process Improvement & Analytics. Fabrication interns support data‑driven process improvement across manufacturing operations that produce aerospace detail parts and assemblies. Interns may analyze production performance, identify bottlenecks and waste, support continuous‑improvement projects, develop dashboards or visual management tools, and work with manufacturing teams to improve safety, quality, cost, delivery, and flow.

Potential internship assignments may include:
  • Analyze fabrication process data, throughput, cycle time, quality, and schedule performance
  • Support Lean, continuous‑improvement, and structured problem‑solving projects
  • Develop dashboards, visualizations, and performance metrics
  • Partner with operations, engineering, quality, and support teams to implement improvements

These positions are expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite in Wichita, KS.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
  • Currently enrolled in a four‑year undergraduate or graduate degree program
  • Ability to work full‑time during Summer 2027
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
  • Passion for the aerospace industry and interest and enthusiasm for a career at Boeing
  • Academic excellence (GPA of 3.0 or higher)
  • Previous related internship or work experience and/or involvement with student or civic organizations
  • Majoring in one of the following: Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Business Analytics, Data Analytics, Operations Management, Supply Chain, Statistics, or other related fields
  • The ability to relocate and work onsite
