Position Overview

The Boeing Security & Fire Operations (SFO) is seeking talented, forward-thinking students ready to join our energetic team, gaining hands‑on experience across corporate site security, aviation security, emergency preparedness, business resilience, and fire protection engineering.

Internship Responsibilities

As an intern, you will contribute to real‑world projects in your specific function all while supporting daily operations in risk assessments, monitoring access control and camera systems, airport/airfield security protocols, and compliance documentation.

This is a unique opportunity to work cross‑functionally with facilities, operations, legal, and emergency response teams, and to see how layered protection strategies come together to keep people and operations safe.

In this role you’ll help design and test emergency exercises and business continuity playbooks, analyze vulnerabilities and mitigation options, and assist in industrial fire engineering assessments. You’ll learn to translate technical findings into clear briefings for stakeholders, support aviation security audits and access‑control improvements, and contribute to after‑action reports that shape future resilience.

Work Location & Availability

Some of these positions are hybrid. This means that the selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options. This is at the hiring team’s discretion and could potentially change in the future. Some of these positions have been identified as virtual opportunities and do not require applicants to live in close proximity to a Boeing facility. Some of these positions are expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options. Some of these positions may require the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. Some of these positions must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a US Person as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. Basic Qualifications
