Job summary

Walnut Creek Family YMCA is seeking a part-time Les Mills BodyPump Group Exercise Instructor to design and lead classes, promote a welcoming environment, and support member involvement in related Y programs. The role focuses on safety, professional instruction, and community engagement.

Shifts include Saturdays at 9:00 a.m. with potential for additional formats. Hourly pay ranges from $12.00 to $15.00, depending on qualifications and experience.

Qualifications

• Must hold current YMCA Foundations of Group Exercise or equivalent certification.
• Current certifications in reputable group fitness programs (ACE/AFAA/NETA/ACSM) required.
• Les Mills or Zumba certification strongly preferred and training completed within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Design, plan, prepare, and instruct assigned group exercise classes.
• Create a welcoming and inclusive class environment.
• Promote member engagement by encouraging involvement in Y programs.
