Job summary

Bering Straits Native Corporation (BSNC) is hiring a Bodyguard for the U.S. Embassy in Moscow. The successful candidate will provide protection to the Chief of Mission and be responsible for driving armored and unarmored vehicles. Required qualifications include a high school diploma, at least 3 years of applicable experience, and proficiency in Russian. This role entails administrative duties, maintaining logbooks, and more, with possible travel involved. Preference is given to BSNC shareholders, descendants, and spouses.

The essential duties and responsibilities for this position are intended to present a descriptive list of the range of duties performed for this role. Other duties may be assigned.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Provide protection to the Chief of Mission (COM) and drive armored and unarmored vehicles as required by the close protection plan.
• Maintain all logbooks and administrative files as required by policy and the RSO.
• Man static guard post as required by the RSO.
• Conduct advances of COM movements.

Required (Minimum Necessary) Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience providing close protection services.
• Minimum of 3 years applicable experience, with at least 1 year in close protection assignments.
• Valid US driver’s license with a clean driving record in the past 3 years.
• Level S3/R3 proficiency in Russian.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and communications/radio procedures.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Characteristics

• Ability to use a computer including all common office management tools (e.g., Microsoft Office).
• Experienced in communications and radio use and procedures.
• Prepare written reports and logs including security survey reports.

Additional Qualifying Factors

Applicants must pass a pre‑employment drug screening and background check. If applicable to the contract, must obtain and maintain the appropriate clearance levels required and obtain access to military installations.

Necessary Physical Requirements

Maintain constant mental alertness. May involve bending, stooping, sitting, walking, or standing for prolonged periods. Most time is spent sitting in a comfortable position with frequent opportunity to move about.

Work Environment

Office setting with exposure to computer screens; extensive use of computer, keyboard, mouse, and multi‑line telephone system. Occasional travel may be required.
