The ideal candidate will have 2-3 years of experience in collision repair, a valid driver's license, and a strong customer-focused attitude. Responsibilities

  • Remove upholstery and accessories as necessary.
  • Mend damaged body by hammering out or filling in dents.
  • Operate a variety of hand and power tools.
  • Inspect and test drive repaired vehicles.

Responsibilities
  • Complete vehicle disassembly to assist Collision Estimators in assessing damage and preparing a 100% Repair Plan.
  • Identify all needed repairs to eliminate supplements and minimize repair time.
  • Plan work procedures: follow work order for all operations listed.
  • Remove upholstery, accessories, electrical and hydraulic windows, and seat operating equipment as necessary to access damaged areas, storing parts properly to prevent damage.
  • Mend damaged body by hammering out or filling in dents and welding broken parts; ensure all gaps and fits meet industry standards; remove damaged panels and bolts or weld replacement parts in position and reassemble after parts are painted.
  • Operate a variety of hand and power tools (e.g., welder, soldering equipment, cutting torch, blocks, hammers, wrenches, sander, spray guns, etc.).
  • File, grind, and sand repaired surfaces before turning the vehicle over to the Paint Department.
  • Inspect and test drive repaired vehicles to verify compliance with safety and quality standards.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
  • Comply with all Classic Collision standard operating procedures, safety rules, and guidelines.

Physical & Environmental

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands, talk and hear, stand, sit, and walk for long periods. The employee may occasionally be required to reach with hands, arms, and move objects up to 20 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close and peripheral vision and the ability to adjust focus. Additional abilities for assessing accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of work are required.
