Job summary

BMW of Palm Springs, located in Palm Springs, CA, seeks a skilled Body Shop Technician to perform repairs and diagnostics with precision. You will diagnose issues, order parts, and ensure safe, high-quality workmanship.

Candidates should have 2+ years of body shop experience and strong mechanical, electrical, and computing skills. Preferred ASE/I-CAR certifications; valid driver’s license and ability to pass pre-employment checks required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Possess strong mechanical, electrical and computing skills.
• Must be 18 years or older and own a valid driver’s license.
• At least 2+ years of hands-on automotive repair experience.
• Authorized to work in the USA.
• Able to pass pre-employment checks (background, MVR, drug test, credits).
• Commitment to safety and adherence to policies.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose malfunctions and perform repairs.
• Communicate with Parts Department to obtain parts.
• Inspect vehicles to identify additional work.
• Advise Body Shop Manager on needed work.
• Document all work performed after completion.
• Attend factory training and review bulletins.
• Keep customer cars clean and maintain safety.
