JX Enterprises, Inc. in Indianapolis, IN is seeking a Body Shop Technician to repair and refinish heavy-duty vehicle bodies, panels, and cabs. The role requires precision, teamwork, and adherence to OEM standards to keep fleets in top condition and on the road.

You will perform mechanical repairs, apply coatings, and ensure safety and quality before delivery. A four-year collision repair background and related certifications are preferred, with CDL desired.

Competenze

• 4 years of heavy-duty collision repair experience, trade school graduate.
• EPA 609 and I-CAR certifications; CDL desired.

• Perform complete repair and replacement of major body panels, fiberglass cabs, sleeper boxes, and body fairings on time with zero rework.
• Mix, match, and apply primer, basecoat, and clearcoat refinishing materials according to OEM specifications.
• Handle associated mechanical repairs (radiator/cooling swaps, suspension disconnects, AC re-charges, basic wiring/lighting).
• Drive continuous improvement by adopting innovative techniques to streamline cycle times and reduce paint/material waste.
• Ensure all completed vehicles are in pristine condition and fully functional before final delivery.
• Collaborate closely with team members and leadership to continuously cultivate positive experiences for our customers.
• Perform other dynamic duties and responsibilities as assigned to support business

Shift: Monday - Friday - 7:00am - 3:30pm

The Opportunity (Job Purpose):

What You’ll Do Day-to-Day (Essential Duties & Responsibilities):

• Perform complete repair and replacement of major body panels, fiberglass cabs, sleeper boxes, and body fairings on time with zero rework.

What We’re Looking For (Qualifications & Skills):

• Typically four (4) years of heavy-duty collision repair experience; trade school graduate.
• Certifications: Valid state or Federal A/C Certification (EPA 609); I-CAR or equivalent non-structural/refinish certifications; CDL desired.
• Mindset: A curious mindset with an entrepreneurial "pioneering spirit," strong integrity, and a passion for continuous professional development.

Medical Safety Compliance:

• Must successfully pass a baseline medical evaluation and a respiratory fit test (per OSHA standards) to ensure safe use of PPE, and maintain safety-compliance guidelines during daily operations.

Physical and Mental Demands:

• The mental and physical requirements described here are representative of those that must be met by an individual to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.
• The employee is frequently required to bend, squat, kneel, and crawl/lay on back; reach away from body or shoulder height; climb or balance; lift up to 75 pounds; push or pull; working in areas with fumes or airborne particles; vibration.
