Job summary

The Larson Group Peterbilt in Missouri is seeking an experienced Body Shop Technician to join our team. This role performs all functions of a fully qualified heavy‑duty truck body repair mechanic under minimal supervision.

You will repair and service body components, train new technicians as directed, follow safety rules, and maintain accurate repair records in our systems. A high school diploma is required; trade school or college preferred, with basic computer skills supporting daily

Responsibilities

• Performs mechanical/body repairs on heavy-duty truck equipment with high quality.
• Trains new technicians as directed.
• Follows safety rules and company policies.
• Records all troubleshooting steps and repair details in the system.
• Manages parts labeling, washing, and return to correct location.
• Keeps the work area clean and safe.
• Maintains efficiency and productivity goals set by the Body Shop Manager.
• Performs other duties and repairs as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Performs mechanical/body repairs on heavy‑duty truck equipment and related components, while maintaining a high level of quality.
• Work with and train new technicians as directed.
• Follow safety rules and company policies always.
• Communicate to Foreman parts that are not available for repairs.
• Disassemble truck and evaluate parts list/estimate to have all parts needed to complete repair.
• Record in detail, description of all troubleshooting and/or repair steps, results of repairs made and any other information about repair. Accurately record in Paccar Solutions or CDK.
• Save all warrantable parts. Tag, wash, box and turn in to correct location. Labeling with repair order number, S/N, customer name and date.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area. Clean tools used and return them to their proper location.
• Maintain a low number of comebacks, customer vehicle functions properly after repair.
• Advise the following shift's technicians with any special instructions or concerns you found when repairing truck.
• Maintain efficiency and productivity goals set forth by Body Shop Manager.
• Maintain training required to perform duties, as set forth by manager.
• Perform other duties and repairs as assigned.

Qualifications

• Should possess a High School diploma.
• A college degree or a certificate or degree from a trade school is preferred, but not required.
• Experience in a related field is preferred but not required.
• Basic computer skills.
