Job summary

Transit Team, Inc. in Maple Grove, MN is seeking an experienced body shop technician to repair collision and cosmetic damage on school buses and paratransit vehicles.

You will perform fiberglass repairs, replace body panels, and prepare surfaces for painting while coordinating with fleet maintenance to minimize downtime. The ideal candidate has 5+ years in body repair, fiberglass skills, and a commitment to quality workmanship.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of body shop experience.
• Experience with fiberglass repair.
• Proficient in body panel repair and replacement.
• Ability to perform paint preparation and finishing work.
• Experience working on commercial vehicles preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.

Responsibilities

• Repair collision and cosmetic damage on school buses and paratransit vehicles.
• Perform fiberglass repairs and restorations.
• Replace and repair body panels, skirting, wheel housings, and related components.
• Prepare vehicles for painting and assist with refinishing activities.
• Work closely with fleet maintenance staff to minimize vehicle downtime.
• Maintain a safe and organized work area.

Pay Rate: $40.00/hour + Full Benefits

Minimum Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of body shop experience
• Experience with fiberglass repair
• Proficient in body panel repair and replacement
• Ability to perform paint preparation and finishing work
• Experience working on commercial vehicles, buses, or fleet vehicles preferred
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
