Job summary

Asbury is seeking a Body Shop Valet/Porter in Jacksonville, FL. The role serves as the first point of contact for collision customers, greeting them and gathering vehicle information.

You will move vehicles to and from the drive and collision repair shop, assist estimators, and maintain secure key control while fostering strong team relationships. The position requires outdoor work, standing for extended periods, and a valid driver's license with a preference for manual transmission experience.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old
• Must have a valid driver's license
• Must be able to pass pre-employment background and drug screening
• Able to work outdoors and on your feet for extended periods
• Manual transmission experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and obtain vehicle information
• Move customer vehicles to and from the drive and collision repair shop
• Assist estimators by coordinating with collision drive teams
• Retain keys according to safeguard procedures
• Promote positive working relationships with dealership staff
• Follow procedures for active vehicle delivery and CSI improvement
• Support collision personnel to ensure shop operations run smoothly
• Work outdoors and on-your-feet for extended periods; operate manual transmission if needed

We are looking for an energetic, customer-focused Body Shop Valet/Porter who will help us redefine the car-buying experience.

The Body Shop Valet/Porter is the initial contact at the collision center for the arriving collision customer. The Body Shop Valet/Porter is tasked with meeting and greeting customers when they arrive.

It is the Body Shop Lot Attendant's responsibility to move customer’s vehicles to and from the drive and collision repair shop.

• Greet customers in a timely, friendly manner and obtain vehicle information at the customer’s vehicle when possible
• Assist the Estimators in helping customers while maintaining organization in the collision drive
• Move the customers vehicle following the greeting process as outlined by management in a safe and secure manner
• Retain keys according to departmental safeguard procedures
• Actively promote effective working relationships with associates and departments in the dealership
• Follow dealership specific procedures for active vehicle delivery of the customers vehicleresulting in return visits and admirable (CSI) Customer Satisfaction Index
• Readily assist fellow collision personnel in completing the work necessary to ensure full functioning of the shop
• Ability to work outdoors and on your feet for extended periods of time
• Ability to operate manual transmission is highly preferred
• Must be a minimum of eighteen years of age
• Must have a valid driver's license
• Must be able to pass pre-employment screening (background and drug test)
