Body repairs on commercial vehicles including outfitting accessories commonly used in daily functions.
Responsibilities
- Examine damaged vehicles to determine, document, and photograph the extent of structural, body, and mechanical damage.
- Create precise, itemized, and authorized repair plans
- Coordinate with insurance adjusters to finalize estimates, negotiate repair costs, and ensure compliance with guidelines.
- Examines assigned truck to determine if further safety or service work is required or recommended.
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients, explaining repairs, providing accurate timelines, and maintaining communication throughout the process.
- Documents all work performed and recommended on the repair order.
- Road tests vehicles when required.
- Coordinate with body shop technicians and managers to ensure quality repairs and meet deadlines.
- Maintains and is accountable for all Company-owned tools and manuals.
- Understands, maintains and complies with federal, state and local regulations such as hazardous waste disposal including OSHA regulations and compliance.
