Kayser Janesville Chevrolet Buick GMC is seeking a Body Shop Apprentice to start a career in automotive collision repair. In this hands-on role, you will learn to restore vehicles to pre-accident condition by assisting experienced technicians and performing share tasks with quality workmanship in mind.

Body Shop Apprentice

Join Kayser Janesville Chevrolet Buick GMC as a Body Shop Apprentice and begin your career in automotive collision repair. In this hands-on role, you will work alongside experienced technicians to learn the skills necessary to restore vehicles to their pre-accident condition, ensuring quality workmanship and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Assist skilled technicians with the repair and refinishing of vehicle body parts.


• Prepare and sand surfaces for painting, apply filler, and mask vehicles before paint application.


• Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following company safety guidelines.


• Help with the removal and replacement of damaged panels, bumpers, and other components.


• Learn to operate body shop equipment and tools efficiently and safely.


• Support team members in daily shop operations and workflow management.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.


• Strong interest in automotive body repair and collision work.


• Ability to follow instructions and work collaboratively in a team environment.


• Basic mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn new skills.


• Good attention to detail and quality workmanship.
