Job summary

Stellantisfinancialservices in Auburn Hills, MI, is seeking a Body Layout Designer to create 3D NX models and 2D drawings for Body components, from concept to production-ready design.

You will collaborate with engineers, use NX and Teamcenter, and ensure compliance with design standards; preferred experience with NX, Teamcenter, GD&T, and automotive body-in-white knowledge.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Minimum 3 years of training or work experience in NX (Unigraphics) automotive design.
• Minimum 3 years of practical knowledge of vehicles and the vehicle assembly process.
• Basic understanding of manufacturing processes (e.g., stamping, welding, molding, casting).
• Strong mechanical aptitude.
• Experience with MS Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word).

• Ensuring accuracy and compliance with design standards throughout the development cycle.

This position offers hands-on involvement in the design and development of Body systems, providing an excellent opportunity to build foundational skills in automotive design.

Basic Qualifications:

• Education:
• Minimum of a High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Technical Skills:
• Minimum of 3 years of training or work experience inNX (Unigraphics)automotive design.
• Minimum of 3 years of practical knowledge of vehicles and the vehicle assembly process.
• Basic understanding or coursework on manufacturing processes (e.g., stamping, welding, molding, casting).
• Strong mechanical aptitude.
• Software Skills:

Preferred Qualifications:

• Associate degree or higher inMechanical Design,Engineering Technology, or related field.
• 8+ Years of Designer Experience
• Experience withTeamcenteror similar PLM systems.
• Experience with Siemens NX design software.
• Familiarity withGD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing)
• Exposure toautomotive Body-in-White sheetmetal systemsor related components.
• Experience with automotive Castings or related components.
