Job summary

EDAG-Engineering-GmbH in Novi, MI seeks a Body Closures Testing Engineer to execute validation and verification of body systems. You will define test methods, coordinate prototype vehicles, and analyze test data to drive quality improvements.

You will collaborate with Design, Manufacturing and Quality teams, prepare detailed reports, and maintain traceability for test activities. Proficiency in instrumentation, data acquisition, and JIRA is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related engineering discipline.
• 3+ years automotive validation/testing experience.
• Experience performing component and subsystem validation testing.
• Knowledge of automotive testing standards and validation methodologies.
• Experience with: Door KLT, Door SAG, Overload Durability, Oil Canning, Floor Pan Deflection, Tie Down Strength Testing, Life Cycle Testing.
• Understanding of FMVSS regulations (208, 207, 210, 216, 225).
• Ability to perform root cause analysis and corrective action investigations.
• Experience creating technical reports and documenting validation results.
• Familiarity with prototype vehicle testing and test planning.
• Understanding of instrumentation and data acquisition systems.
• English B2-C1
