Job summary

The Oregon State Marine Board seeks a Boating Safety Program Manager to lead its safety education and outreach efforts across the state, overseeing eleven staff and statewide programs. The role includes regulating boating safety, education, and enforcement coordination with law enforcement and partner agencies.

Qualifications

• Five years of lead work, supervision, or progressively related experience.
• Two years of related experience AND a bachelor's degree in a related field.
• Strong communication and analytical skills to inform decision-making and collaboration with multiple agencies.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the Boating Safety Program and its eleven staff in statewide safety education and outreach.
• Manage contracts with over 30 Sheriff Offices and Oregon State Police for marine law enforcement.
• Coordinate with agencies, law enforcement, and legislative staff on boating safety initiatives.
