Job summary

Q.E.D. Systems, Inc. in Virginia Beach is seeking a hands-on helper to assist Boat Shop Technicians with repairing and troubleshooting watercraft.

The role requires basic hand tools, a high school diploma, U.S. citizenship, and the ability to obtain U.S. Secret Clearance to access military facilities.

You will perform tasks with minimal supervision and have the opportunity to learn skills to advance to a Boat Shop Technician.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to use basic hand tools (drills, screwdrivers, wrenches, etc.).
• US citizenship and eligibility for U.S. Secret Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Assist Boat Shop Technicians with repairing and troubleshooting watercraft.
• Complete basic tasks with minimal supervision.
• Demonstrate willingness to learn skills to become a Boat Shop Technician.

Job Description: Candidate will assist Boat Shop Technicians with repairing, and troubleshooting varies watercraft. Must be able to complete basic tasks with minimal supervision and a willingness to learn skills to become a Boat Shop Technician.

Salary Range: $18-$22 hourly

Job Requirements/skill sets: Ability to use basic hand tools (drills, screwdrivers, wrenches, etc.)

Education Requirements: High school degree or equivalent

Security Clearance/Naval Facility Access: U.S. citizenship required. Must be able to meet and maintain eligibility for U.S. Secret Clearance and/or be able to access military facilities, naval shipyards, and private shipyards.
