Job summary

Regal Boats is seeking a dependable Taper to prepare boats for gelcoating. The Taper will tape hull stripes and sides, prep molds, and assist the gelcoater team.

This role is ideal for candidates with experience in auto body, boat finishing, or those willing to work the assigned shifts: 1:30 PM – 3:00 AM during training, transitioning to 5:00 PM – 3:30 AM. This role requires the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, stand for 10 hours, and work overtime as needed in a non-climate-controlled

Qualifications

• Experience with tape application or auto body.
• Ability to read a tape measure and follow written/verbal instructions.
• Ability to work a 10-hour shift with standing, bending, lifting, and repetitive motion.
• Comfortable working in a non-climate-controlled environment (>100°F).
• Dependable and able to work overtime.
• Ability to wear PPE.
• Team-oriented and detail-focused.

Responsibilities

• Tape up boats for gelcoater, including hull stripes and sides.
• Prep molds and surfaces for gelcoating.
• Follow detailed instructions, specifications, and diagrams.
• Inspect surfaces for defects and ensure proper preparation.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Contribute to quality and efficiency improvements.
