Provides instructional services and classroom leadership in the absence of the regular classroom teacher for an extended period (minimum of 21 days). The substitute assumes responsibility for planning and delivering instruction, managing the learning environment, assessing student progress, and maintaining communication with school administration, staff, students, and families. This position ensures continuity of educational services while supporting the academic, social, and emotional growth of students.
The daily rate for this position is $274.52.
NOTE: SELECTED CANDIDATE MUST WORK 21-CONSECUTIVE INSTRUCTIONAL DAYS IN THE SAME CLASS TO BE PAID BOARD SUB RATE.
Must be at least 18 years old and have a bachelor’s degree.
Must be able to deliver engaging and effective instruction and establish positive relationships with students, families and staff. Proficiency with educational technology and systems, ability to analyze student data, prior knowledge of instructional practices, classroom management, and student assessment methods are preferred.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Must be able to stand, walk, bend and move about the classroom for extended periods. Must be able to lift and carry instructional materials and supplies up to 25 pounds occasionally. Must be able to communicate effectively in person and in writing.
