Job summary

PetVet Care Centers seeks a Board Certified or Residency Trained Veterinary Dermatologist for Veterinary Referral Associates in Gaithersburg, MD. You will join a high-volume, multi-specialty referral hospital with advanced diagnostics and 24/7 ICU support.

The role emphasizes collaborative care, client communication, and high‑quality veterinary services. The position offers signing/relocation packages, comprehensive benefits, and CE resources.

Qualifications

• DVM or VMD degree from an accredited college or university.
• 1-year rotational internship in small animal medicine, surgery, ER.
• Completed a 3-year AVMA approved residency program.
• Current State Veterinary License required.
• DEA registration must be obtained and maintained.

Responsibilities

• Comprehensive patient exams and medical work‑ups.
• Client communication and education.
• Maintaining accurate medical records.
• Prescribing medications and following controlled substance protocols.
• Promote teamwork and staff efficiency; collaborate with Hospital Manager.
• Monitor hospital protocols from intake to discharge; daily rounds when possible.
• Participate in practice management updates and training.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Management.
