Memphis Veterinary Specialists (MVS) in Memphis, Tennessee seeks a Board Certified or Residency Trained Cardiologist to join a leading multispecialty and emergency veterinary center. You will work with a team of veterinarians, technicians, and support staff, collaborating closely with Hospital and Regional Managers to deliver exceptional care.

The role emphasizes high-quality veterinary care, strong client communication, and a culture of collaboration in a large, well-equipped facility.

Qualifications

• Veterinarian degree (DVM or VMD) from an accredited college.
• 1-year rotational internship in small animal medicine, surgery, ER.
• Completed a 3-year AVMA-approved residency program.
• Current State Veterinary License.
• DEA registration must be obtained and maintained.
• Strong diagnostic and clinical skills.
• Excellent communication with medical staff and clients.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient exams and medical work-ups.
• Communicate with clients and educate about diagnosis and treatment.
• Maintain accurate medical records.
• Prescribe medications and follow controlled substance protocols.
• Promote teamwork and staff efficiency.
• Collaborate with Hospital Manager on weekly priorities.
• Monitor hospital protocols from intake to discharge.
• Participate in practice management updates and training.
