PetVet Care Centers’ Carolina Veterinary Specialists in Greensboro, NC, seeks a Board-Certified or Residency Trained Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon to join a team of veterinarians, technicians and support staff. The ideal candidate will be passionate about high-quality veterinary care and excellent client communication in a busy specialty/emergency setting.

Qualifications

• DVM or VMD degree from an accredited college or university.
• 1-year rotational internship in small animal medicine, surgery, ER.
• Completed a 3-year AVMA approved residency program.
• Current State Veterinary License and DEA registration.
• Strong diagnostic and clinical skills and team orientation.
• Excellent communication with medical staff and clients.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient exams and medical work-ups.
• Communicate with clients and provide education.
• Maintain accurate medical records.
• Prescribe medications and follow CS protocols.
• Promote teamwork and staff efficiency.
• Coordinate with Hospital Manager on weekly priorities.
• Evaluate protocols from intake to discharge.
• Attend daily rounds to uphold high standards.
• Support practice management updates and training.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Management.
