PetVet Care Centers in Bonita Springs, FL seeks a Board Certified or Residency Trained Internist to join Southwest Florida Veterinary Specialists. You will provide high-quality veterinary care and collaborate with a team of veterinarians, technicians, and support staff.

This role offers a state-of-the-art facility, opportunities to influence equipment, and a strong culture of care. Pay ranges from $250k to $340k USD and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Board Certified or Residency Trained Internist required.
• 1-year rotating internship in small animal medicine, surgery, ER.
• Completed AVMA‑approved residency program (3 years).
• Current State Veterinary License.
• DEA registration maintained.
• Strong diagnostic and clinical skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
• Ability to work well in a team environment.
• Commitment to compassionate, high‑quality veterinary care.
• Effective communication with Medical and Hospital staff.

Responsibilities

• Comprehensive patient exams and medical work-ups.
• Client communication and education.
• Maintaining accurate medical records.
• Pharmacy duties and controlled substance protocols.
• Promote teamwork and staff efficiency.
• Work with Hospital Manager on weekly priorities.
• Evaluate protocols from intake to discharge.
• Attend daily rounds when possible to uphold high standards.
• Participate in practice management updates and training.
• Performs other duties as assigned by Management.
