Job summary

Global Talent Partners in Hicksville, NY seeks a Veterinary Internal Medicine Specialist (Board Certified / Diplomate / Residency Trained) to join a high-acuity specialty setting. This role offers a path in a 24/7 referral and emergency hospital with access to CT, MRI, ultrasound, interventional radiology, and cross-disciplinary collaboration. Qualifications

• DVM or equivalent degree.
• License to practice in New York (or eligible).
• Eligibility to work in the United States.
• Board certification in Small Animal Internal Medicine or completion of a recognized residency program.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert internal medicine consultations and manage an advanced referral caseload.
• Utilize on-site diagnostics such as CT, MRI, ultrasound, digital radiography and fluoroscopy, and collaborate with interventional radiology as appropriate.
• Partner closely with Emergency and Critical Care, Surgery, Neurology, and Oncology for integrated, high-quality patient care.
• Oversee inpatient case management with ICU collaboration, including complex and multi-day cases.
• Communicate clearly with clients and referring veterinarians, ensuring continuity and outstanding service.
• Participate in teaching rounds, mentorship, and ongoing professional development activities.
• Contribute to a positive, safety-focused, and team-oriented clinical culture.
