Job summary

Ascend Medical Staffing seeks a Board Certified/Eligible Rheumatologist for an outpatient opportunity in Wyoming. The physician will join a large, multidisciplinary team and develop a new service line addressing autoimmune and rheumatic diseases.

The role features four days of patient care per week and one administrative day for documentation, care coordination, and quality initiatives, with 46 weeks per year and 29 days ATO plus 5 CME days.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree.
• Completion of an Internal Medicine residency and a Rheumatology fellowship.
• Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Rheumatology (certification required within 5 years of residency).
• Unrestricted Wyoming license or eligibility.
• Current DEA registration.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose and manage rheumatologic conditions in outpatient settings.
• Perform in-office procedures such as joint aspirations and injections.
• Manage DMARDs, biologics and infusion services.
• Interpret labs and imaging and coordinate care with other providers.
• Educate patients and families on disease management and prevention.
• Maintain thorough EMR documentation and participate in quality initiatives.
