Job summary

Meadowview Behavioral Hospital in Peoria, IL is seeking a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) for a per diem/PRN role. The position involves ongoing follow-up visits, collaboration with the care team, and prescribing necessary pharmacologic interventions to support patients’ treatment plans.

Qualified candidates have an MSN/NP in Psychiatry, IL RN and PMHNP-BC licensure, and at least three years of psychiatric clinical experience.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Psychiatric Nursing from an accredited school.
• Current RN license and PMHNP-BC in Illinois.
• Minimum of three years of clinical psychiatric experience.
• CPR certification and CPI training completed within 30 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Completes follow-up visits after initial assessment.
• Participates in staffing weekly and family sessions as needed.
• Prescribes pharmacologic interventions as necessary.
• Reviews all applicable lab and diagnostic results.
• Consults with attending psychiatrist as needed.
• Makes referrals for further diagnostic testing.
• Communicates with patients and families to obtain relevant information.
• Prepares documentation per Meadowview policies and accrediting bodies.
