Job summary

Dane Street is expanding our physician panel and seeks a board-certified Neurological Surgeon for independent medical record reviews. This fully remote role offers flexible scheduling and the ability to accept or decline cases based on availability.

As an independent contractor (1099), you will review medical records, provide advisory opinions, and deliver well-supported written reports within a tight turnaround time. There is no patient interaction.

Qualifications

• Board-certified Neurological Surgeon required.
• Prior experience with medical record reviews, IMEs, or peer reviews preferred.
• Strong analytical skills and excellent written communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Thorough review and analysis of prepared medical records
• Provide expert, advisory-only opinions regarding the claimant’s current condition and potential future medical needs
• Respond to clinical questions to support claims management
• Deliver clear, well-supported written reports within an expected turnaround time of 5 days
• No face-to-face interaction with claimants; this is a record-review–only role
