Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science, Arts, or Music degree inMusic Therapy or related field.
• Must have MT-BC credential from Certification Board for Music Therapists.
• Completion of six-month internship at an approved site and pre-clinical coursework hours.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to connect with clients and families.
• Passion for using music as a therapeutic tool to improve mental health.

Responsibilities

• Conduct individualized music therapy sessions for clients of all ages and abilities.
• Develop and implement treatment plans tailored to each client’s needs and goals.
• Assess client progress and adjust therapy techniques as necessary.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to integrate music therapy into care plans.
• Provide documentation and reporting on client progress and outcomes.
• Engage in continuous professional development and training to enhance skills.
