Job summary

LocumTenens.com is seeking a Board-certified General Surgeon for on-site coverage in Kentucky. The assignment involves 24-hour weekend call coverage, ED response, inpatient rounding, and a range of general surgery and GI procedures.

The clinician will provide colonoscopies, EGDs, and laparoscopic surgeries as clinically indicated, with on-site support and structured clinical governance during the assignment.

Qualifications

• Board-certified in General Surgery.
• Active medical license and board certification required.
• Experience with general surgery and GI cases preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide 24-hour weekend general surgery call coverage (7:00 AM–7:00 AM).
• Respond to ED consultations and perform inpatient rounds.
• Perform general surgery procedures and GI-related surgeries as clinically indicated.
• Carry out colonoscopies, EGDs, and laparoscopic surgeries as needed.
• Maintain on-site coverage during assigned periods, ensuring quality surgical care.
