Job summary

Qualifications

• Licensed to practice medicine in New York State and Board Certification by the American Board of Medical Specialties in your specialty.
• Candidates from within State Service may qualify for a competitive class appointment with one year of permanent competitive or 55-b/55-c service in a title eligible for transfer.

Responsibilities

• Conduct physical examinations and interpret diagnostic tests; diagnose and treat medical conditions.
• Prescribe medications, therapies, vaccinations, and other medical care.
• Attend treatment team meetings and participate in discharge planning.
• Manage rapid responses and crises as needed.
• Collaborate with other providers and disciplines to ensure medical follow-up after discharge.
• Assist in development of medical policies and ensure medical documentation compliance.
