Job description

The Best of Both Worlds: Clinical Dermatology + Dermatopathology

U.S. Dermatology Partners is seeking an exceptional Board-Certified Dermatologist with fellowship training in Dermatopathology to join our growing team in Texas.

This unique opportunity offers an approximately 50/50 blend of clinical dermatology and dermatopathology, allowing you to maintain a rewarding patient-facing practice while applying your subspecialty expertise.

For physicians who value the connection between what they see in the clinic and what they see under the microscope, this role offers the opportunity to practice both disciplines within one of the largest physician-led dermatology organizations in the country.

As U.S. Dermatology Partners continues to grow across Texas and nationally, we are expanding our dermatopathology capabilities to support increasing patient and physician demand. You’ll have the opportunity to build a long-term practice backed by an established dermatology network, experienced laboratory and clinical teams, and comprehensive operational support.

A Practice Designed Around Your Expertise

This position is intentionally structured to allow you to remain active in both areas of your training.

Approximately 50% Clinical Dermatology

Maintain a meaningful clinical dermatology practice caring for patients within an established U.S. Dermatology Partners location. Benefit from patient demand, an established referral network, experienced clinical staff, and the autonomy to practice medicine within accepted standards of care.

Approximately 50% Dermatopathology

Apply your dermatopathology expertise within an established laboratory environment supporting dermatologists and other clinicians across our network. Work collaboratively with referring physicians and contribute directly to the diagnostic excellence that drives exceptional dermatologic care.

Why This Opportunity Stands Out
  • True dual-specialty practice: Approximately 50% clinical dermatology and 50% dermatopathology
  • Established patient demand: Build your clinical practice within a large and growing dermatology network
  • Strong referral network: Collaborate with dermatologists, dermatologic surgeons, and other specialists across the organization
  • Established infrastructure: Benefit from experienced clinical, laboratory, and operational support
  • Physician-led culture: Physicians lead physicians, with clear delineation between medical decision-making and business operations
  • Clinical autonomy: Practice medicine within accepted standards of care while benefiting from the resources of a large organization
  • Long-term growth: Join an organization continuing to expand its dermatology and dermatopathology capabilities in Texas and nationally
Who We’re Looking For

We are seeking a physician who enjoys both the patient-facing and diagnostic sides of dermatology and brings a collaborative approach to working with patients, clinicians, and laboratory colleagues.

Qualified Candidates Should Have
  • MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
  • Board certification in Dermatology
  • Fellowship training in Dermatopathology
  • Board certification or board eligibility in Dermatopathology
  • Eligibility for an unrestricted Texas medical license
