Job summary

Applied ABC in Salt Lake City, Utah, seeks a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to manage a caseload and provide supervision to ABA therapists. The role includes treatment planning, data collection, and family training to support students with autism spectrum disorder across ages.

You will lead supervision sessions (BT/RBT), develop behavior support plans, and collaborate with families and teams. Travel to client sites may be required.

Qualifications

  • Active Board certification – passed the BACB exam for behavior analysts.
  • Master’s degree in applied Behavior Analysis, education, or related field.
  • Current 8-hour supervision certificate – able to supervise RBTs and supervise with BTS.
  • Experience creating behavior support plans.
  • Experience administering VB-MAPP, Vineland, ABLLS, etc.
  • Experience with family training and social skills groups.
  • Experience working with children diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder, of all ages.
  • Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.
  • Ability to work in the US and relocate or travel to office location (in person).

Responsibilities

  • Maintain an active caseload and meet 120 billable utilization hours per month including supervision, treatment planning, and related components.
  • Provide supervision to ABA therapists.
  • Lead supervision for BTs/RBTs using behavioral skills training.
  • Create behavior support plans based on individual client needs.
  • Set up data collection systems and ensure ongoing data collection.
  • Attend team meetings and report on current levels of behaviors; lead in crisis situations using behavioral analytic principles.

Location: Salt Lake City, Utah

Hours: M-F 9am-7pm MDT (Flexible hours and evenings preferred)

  • Current 8-hour supervision certificate – certified to provide supervision to RBT’s and has supervisory experience. Experience utilizing behavioral skills training

  • Experience creating behavior support plans

  • Experience administering various skills assessments such as VB-MAPP, Vineland, ABLLS, etc

  • Experience with creating treatment plans and conducting family training, social skills groups, etc

  • Experience working with children diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder, of all ages

  • Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license

  • Ability to work in the US

  • Ability to relocate or travel to office location (in person required)

Position Description:

  • Clinic BCBA will maintain an active caseload and meet 120 billable utilization hours per month which includes supervision, treatment planning, BTM (treatment planning with face-to‑face component, Parent Training, etc. Travel is acknowledged, but not billable. (Up to 10 hours per week).

  • Clinic BCBA will support their caseload by providing behavior analytic supervision to ABA therapists.

  • BCBA may be providing supervision for BT’s or RBT’s working 1:1 with students, delivering evidence‑based supervision techniques such as behavioral skills training.

  • BCBA may not only need to administer skills assessments, but also preference, and reinforcer assessments.

  • BCBA will provide programming to support the students to achieve their treatment goals.

  • BCBA will be required to create behavior support plans, based on the clients’ individual needs and behaviors.

  • Additionally, considerations should be made for families and their level of experience, for family training sessions.

  • Family training targets may need to be explicitly written and explained to those who have little to no experience working in the field of applied behavior analysis.

  • BCBA will set up data collection systems and ensure ongoing and accurate data collection is occurring.

  • BCBA will attend team meetings for coordination of care as requested by the family and be prepared to report on current levels of behaviors. BCBA must be comfortable leading others in behavior crisis situations, utilizing behavior analytic principles.

  • BCBA will need to hold the ability to be flexible and accommodating for companies updates in changes to policies and procedures and work‑related expectations.

  • BCBA will uphold Applied ABC’s core principles, of providing the best possible clinical techniques with a holistic and individualized approach to achieve ideal clinical outcomes.
