Job summary

The Behavior Exchange - Texas is seeking a compassionate Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to provide ABA therapy for children with autism and related developmental disabilities. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality services and ensure optimal outcomes for the children and families.

What you will do

As a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) you will provide applied behavior analytic (ABA) assessment and therapy services for children with autism spectrum disorders and related developmental disabilities.

  • Complete additional paperwork requirements in an accurate and timely manner as notified by administration, including ABA initial assessments, re‑assessments, and discharge documentation.
  • Collaborate with administration and other disciplines involved in the child’s care to promote consistent and quality services for children and families.
  • Evaluate children using appropriate testing protocols and tools to follow funding guidelines for each particular child.
  • Implement individualized and evidence‑based interventions for ABA clients.
  • Provide therapy services to children based on the recommended number of units from evaluations and funding source approvals.
  • Provide therapy services in highly specialized facilities with an emphasis on goal attainment through appropriate developmental progression of functional skill attainment and real‑life experiences.
  • Provide documentation of all therapy services by locking and electronically signing weekly progress notes, including reviewing and signing off on all RBT treatment notes.
  • Update schedule in deTASO or other software, as directed.
  • Conduct parent training sessions and communicate changes/updates to families.
  • Supervise and mentor BT, RBT, and/or ABA Fieldwork Students.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary conferences as needed.
  • Demonstrate continued growth in therapeutic skills through learning, knowledge, and application.

  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of families or employees of the organization.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Reports for work dressed appropriately and complies with company policies regarding the dress code.
  • Ability to maintain regular and punctual attendance.
  • Ability to complete tasks in a timely manner.
  • Travel may be required.
  • Master's degree in Behavior Analysis or related field.
  • Active status as Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA®) or upcoming BCBA eligibility (exam scheduled)
Essential Physical Demands

The employee is regularly required to move including walking, running, jumping, and sitting. The employee is regularly required to use hands and fingers to handle, lift, reach, and feel. The employee is frequently required to stand and stoop, twist, bend, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include near and distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
