Job summary

Strategic Therapy Autism Services in New Jersey seeks a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to lead the development, implementation, and monitoring of individualized ABA plans for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder and related challenges.

You will supervise RBTs, conduct assessments, guide families through results and recommendations, and ensure ethical, high-quality care across diverse settings.

Qualifications

  • BCBA certification and NJ license or eligibility.
  • Master's degree in ABA or related field.
  • Experience applying ABA with children/adolescents with Autism.
  • Ability to conduct functional analyses and assessments.
  • Clinic supervision and mentorship experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, develop, and oversee individualized ABA treatment plans.
  • Conduct comprehensive behavioral assessments including functional analyses.
  • Develop skill acquisition and intervention programs.
  • Supervise Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) and other staff.
  • Guide family conversations, results discussions, and next steps.
  • Review and sign off on behavior/treatment plans to ensure quality and compliance.

The Opportunity: BCBA

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to join our clinical team. In this pivotal role, you will be the driving force behind developing, implementing, and monitoring individualized behavioral support plans for clients diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder and/or other behavioral, social, and communication challenges.

Key Responsibilities You’ll Own
  • Behavior Analytics: Plan, develop, and oversee all aspects of individual treatment plans, ensuring the highest standards of ethical and effective ABA intervention.
  • Assessment & Design: Conduct comprehensive, systematic behavioral assessments, including functional analyses, to inform the creation of targeted, cutting‑edge skill acquisition and intervention programs.
  • Empowering Change: Utilize the full spectrum of applied behavior analysis principles to teach crucial new skills, including social interactions, self‑control, maintenance of behaviors, and generalization across diverse settings.
  • Supervision & Mentorship: Function as a dedicated supervisor, providing hands‑on oversight and expert training for Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) and other field staff to ensure program integrity and professional development.
  • Collaborative Partnership: Facilitate supportive and informative family conversations, guiding them through assessment results, clinical recommendations, and next steps in their child’s journey.
  • Compliance & Quality: Review and sign off on all behavior/treatment plans, ensuring clinical excellence and adherence to all regulatory standards.
Qualifications
  • Credentials: Current BCBA certification and license in the state of New Jersey (or ability to obtain before starting).
  • Education: Master’s degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, Psychology, Education, or a related field.
  • Expertise: Demonstrated clinical competence and experience applying ABA principles, especially with children and adolescents with Autism Spectrum Disorder.
  • Assessment Acumen: Familiarity with and the ability to administer and interpret a variety of clinical assessments.
  • Core Skills: Exceptional clinical judgment, strong communication, problem‑solving, project management, and organizational abilities.
  • Preferred: 1 year of professional BCBA in‑home experience is a bonus, but we encourage highly‑qualified new BCBAs to apply!
