Job summary

Education Behavior Consultants Inc. seeks a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to oversee clinical delivery, assessments and treatment planning for clients with ASD and neurodivergent needs.

Responsibilities

Description

The Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) at Education Behavior Consultants Inc. plays a vital role in our clinical delivery system. This position balances direct program oversight, assessment, and treatment planning with clinical mentorship. You will plan, develop, and monitor behavior support service delivery to meet the needs of clients diagnosed with autism spectrum disorders (ASD) or neurodivergent diagnoses.

Role Expectations of BCBA:

Clinical Assessment & Treatment Planning

• Comprehensive Assessments: Conduct skills assessments using various assessment models that are appropriate for the individual client(s).
• Functional Assessments: Assess clients requiring Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs) and associated screening tools.
• Treatment Recommendations: Deliver appropriate treatment recommendations based on ethical guidelines outlined by the BACB.
• Plan Modification: Create and adjust individualized skill acquisition and intervention plans for clients requiring specific behavior intervention.

Clinical Supervision & Mentorship

• Staff Oversight: Mentor and oversee the work and professional development of BCaBAs, Mid-Level Supervisors and RBTs
• Client & Caregiver Training: Participate in training programs for clients, families, and other caregivers.
• Collaborative Support: Share a floor supervision schedule on rotation with other BCBAs to ensure high-quality therapeutic service delivery.

Direct Care & Administrative Compliance

• 1:1 Client Support: Meet the BACB minimum requirements of 1:1 client support for 10% of monthly hours worked to maintain certification.
• EMR Systems: Become proficient in the company’s electronic medical record system and maintain timely and accurate client records.
• Location Management: Understand the nuances of different service settings (in-home, in-clinic, in-school, community centers and public facilities) and how they impact program application, especially in the event of remote service delivery.
• Professional Development: Participate in required and job-related professional development to maintain certification and enhance clinical skills.

Reporting Relationship for BCBA:

DEPT: Clinical Operations

SUPER: Clinical Director or Lead BCBA

TEAM: This position works closely with other BCBAs and Director level leadership.

SUBS: This position does not have dedicated direct reports. However, there is a potential for clinical supervision assignments over BCaBA and/or RBT certified staff.

Requirements

Candidate Requirements of BCBA:

• Active Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification with the BACB
• Have experience as a provider analyst or assistant analyst at an ABA clinic or supported facility

Qualifications for BCBA:

Core Clinical & Tech Proficiency

• Assessment Mastery: Proficient in administering, scoring and interpreting a wide range of standardized skills assessments, developmental evaluations and social-skills screening tools.
• FBA & Plan Development: Skilled in conducting Functional Behavior Assessments and writing targeting behavior intervention plans.
• Tech Literacy: Have working or relative knowledge of an electronic medical record (EMR) system to track, manage and maintain client documentation.

Logistics & Compliance: Qualified candidates must:

• Be able to regularly work 30-40 hours per week on-site at the clinic.
• Be willing to work in a variety of therapy settings (clinic, private homes, and community sites)
• Be willing and able to work 10% (minimum) of monthly hours in 1:1 client support
• Have and maintain a clear criminal record
• Have or be capable of completing CPR/First Aid and CPI Certificates of Training withing 90-days of hire
• Have strong verbal and written English skills (bilingual is a plus)
• Have reliable transportation to support good attendance and travel between work sites as needed.

Physical Demands of BCBA:

• Must have full physical dexterity/agility or be able to independently position self and perform all movements required (bending, kneeling, standing for long periods of time)
• Must have sufficient corrected or uncorrected vision to carry out all duties and responsibilities.
• Must be able to operate a motor vehicle.
• Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs.
