Job summary

Autism Treatment Center in San Antonio, TX is seeking an ABA Program Manager to lead the ABA program. The role focuses on developing behavior intervention plans, supervising staff, and ensuring quality services for students with autism spectrum disorders.

Responsibilities include team consultation, curriculum development, data collection, progress monitoring, staff training, and ensuring adherence to BACB ethics. Monday-Thursday schedule and full-time employment are offered.

Qualifications

  • Experience with providing behavioral services to individuals with ASD
  • BCBA certifications through BACB
  • Master's Degree in a relevant field

Responsibilities

  • Consult with team members about behavior plans, curriculum modifications, accommodations and social skills and provide staff with resources, tools, and in-center modeling of techniques
  • Assist in overseeing and providing consultation to staff regarding programming, attend parent and staff meetings
  • Assist in the development and overseeing behavior plans for implementation and assess progress of effectiveness of behavior plans and curriculum modifications
  • Conduct behavior assessments and devise appropriate behavior plans
  • Ensure timely completion of progress reports & graphed data
  • Ensure behavioral strategies are implemented consistently and accurately across clinical systems in all settings
  • Develop data-taking mechanisms and reporting strategies for clinical information
  • Attend team meetings as necessary and requested
  • Develop appropriate plans and curriculum for students who require all levels of behavior programming
  • Act as an active training member for direct care staff and management staff
  • Work 1:1 with students and run social skill groups when necessary
  • Assist in supervising 1:1 teachers and case managers
  • Help intake coordinator in ensuring insurance policies are followed and paperwork complies with standards

Purpose: To provide daily training to teach Consumer to attain and maintain the skills necessary

to achieve maximum functional independence. Support and promote the rights of Consumers

and function effectively as a member of Interdisciplinary Team.

Essential Functions: The BCBA's responsibility is to develop behavior intervention plans,

curriculum & goals for student with autism spectrum disorder and other disabilities. The BCBA

will monitor progress, develop and monitor implementation of particular protocols, data

collection and progress monitoring techniques.

Duties Include, But Are Not Limited To
  • Consult with team members about behavior plans, curriculum modifications,
  • accommodations and social skills and provide staff with resources, tools, and in-center
  • modeling of techniques;
  • Assist in overseeing and providing consultation to staff regarding programming, attend
  • parent and staff meetings;
  • Assist in the development and overseeing behavior plans for implementation and assess

  • Act as an active training member for direct care staff and management staff. This includes on-site staff training, orientation training, clinical and staff meetings.
  • Ensure that all staff demonstrates proficiency in using applied behavior analysis by carrying out behavior change projects meeting designated standards of reliability and scientific rigor, satisfactorily answering questions in regard to the principles of behavior, and by demonstrating proficiency on evaluation developed for each of the essential skills of the position.
  • Work 1:1 with students and run social skill groups when necessary
  • Assist in supervising 1:1 teachers and case managers
  • Help intake coordinator in ensuring insurance policies are being followed, paperwork is completed and in compliance with insurance standards
  • Conduct staff and parent trainings.
  • Maintain a professional clinical approach when meeting families and clients. Maintain professional boundaries.
  • Uphold the BACB's ethical and best practices guidelines.
  • Attend community events and run information dissemination booths at events to increase interest and client base
  • Assist in the DARS program as needed
  • Other duties as required.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Experience with providing behavioral services to individuals with ASD
  • BCBA certifications through BACB

Hours
  • Monday - Thursday from 7 am - 5:30 pm
  • Year round
Physical Requirements

Occasionally (1 - 33% of the time)

  • Lift and carry 40lbs - 80lbs while handling students
  • Push a wheelchair holding a student whose total weight may exceed 200 pounds
  • Engage in gross motor movements such as running and physically redirecting students whose total weight may exceed 200 pounds in order to maintain their safety and the safety of others
  • Moderate strength and stamina are required in emergency situations

Frequently (34 - 66% of the time)

  • Perform SAMA techniques with students whose total weight may exceed 200 pounds

Constantly (67 - 100% of the time)

  • Engage in fine-motor movements such as grasping small objects
  • Engage in gross-motor movements such as standing, walking, bending, and squatting in order to respond to needs of the students
  • Engage in the range of motion necessary to work and play with the students
  • Engage in the range of motion necessary to assist with personal hygiene, bathing, dressing, eating, and other personal care tasks

Required Licenses and Certifications
  • Maintain current CPR, First Aid, and SAMA certifications

Use of Tools and Equipment

    • Assist with the use of Alternative and Augmentative Communication Devices
    • Monitor fire alarm devices
    • Use computers, tablets, iPads, copy machines, and cell phones as needed
