Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) – Brownsville, TX
Start Date: School Year 2025–2026
Job Type: Full-Time (Virtual)
Salary: $88,000 – $98,000 per year
Schedule: Regular School Hours
Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to support students within a school setting. This role involves providing both direct and indirect services, including assessments, treatment planning, staff and parent training, and ongoing collaboration with school teams.
The ideal candidate is experienced in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), confident in leading multidisciplinary collaboration, and passionate about improving outcomes for students with autism spectrum disorder and other developmental needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs)
- Develop, implement, and modify Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs)
- Write comprehensive assessment reports with evidence-based recommendations
- Design and maintain data collection systems and analyze student progress
- Provide direct and indirect support to students in individual and small group settings
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams to develop effective strategies
- Participate in IEP meetings, student evaluations, and team discussions
- Train and support staff in ABA strategies, behavior plans, and implementation fidelity
- Monitor and ensure consistency in intervention implementation across settings
- Develop program materials for skill acquisition and behavior support
- Supervise BCaBAs and Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs), when applicable
- Coordinate with Special Education Coordinators and district personnel
- Ensure compliance with all BACB standards and HIPAA regulations
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, Education, or a related field (required)
- Active Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification (required)
- Current 8-hour supervision training certification (required)
- Experience supervising RBTs and/or BCaBAs (preferred)
- Strong experience conducting FBAs and developing BIPs
- Experience working with children diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder (all ages)
- Knowledge of behavioral skills training (BST)
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams
- Ability to work in the United States
- Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license (if in-person requirements apply)
- Willingness to travel or relocate if required
