Job summary

The Niello Company is seeking a Detailer in Sacramento, CA to thoroughly clean and refurbish vehicles in line with dealership and manufacturer specifications. This role requires attention to detail, strong communication, and a professional appearance.

Responsibilities include exterior washing, interior vacuuming, wax application, and engine bay cleaning, with opportunities to apply specialty cleaners and maintain vehicle quality. Evening/weekend hours may apply in a busy dealership environment.

Responsibilities

• Clean and refurbish new and used automobiles.
• Follow dealership/manufacturer specifications and time allowances.
• Wash exterior, clean interior and windows, and wipe doorjambs.
• Apply wax and buff surfaces; vacuum interior to remove dirt and debris.
• Clean upholstery and carpets; use cleaners, applicators and devices.
• Apply revitalizers and preservation agents to interior surfaces.
• Clean engine and engine bay with appropriate cleaners.
• Inspect vehicles and report issues; perform additional tasks as directed.

Job Specific Expectations

• Cleans and refurbishes new and used automobiles
• Conforms to dealership and/or manufacturer specifications and time allowances
• Washed vehicle exterior, cleans interior and exterior windows, and wipes down doorjambs.
• Applier wax to auto body, and wipes of buffs surface.
• Vacuums interior of vehicles to remove loose dirt and debris
• Cleans upholstery, rugs, and other surfaces, using appropriate cleaning agents, applicators, and cleaning devices.
• Applies revitalizers and preservation agents to interior vinyl or leather surfaces and treats fabrics with spot- and stain- resistant chemicals.
• Cleans engine and engine compartment with steam-cleaning equipment and various cleaning agents.
• Applies special-purpose cleaners to remove foreign materials which normal cleaning procedures do not remove, utilizing experience and judgement and following product manufacturer's recommendations.
• Inspects vehicles.
• Completes additional tasks as directed.

Compensation Range By Position

The expected pay for this position is $18.00 to $22.00 per hour and may vary based on factors such as location, skills, and relevant experience. Some positions may include additional compensation in the form of bonuses or commissions.
