Job summary

The BMTCI Physician Moonlighter at Moffitt Cancer Center provides in-house medical care for BMTCI patients, with night and weekend coverage, and handles triage calls from outside the hospital. Working under supervising attendings, the role focuses on patient safety, admissions, orders, and handoffs.

This position requires MD/DO, DEA, and BLS/ACLS, with residency in internal medicine and preferably oncology experience.

Qualifications

• MD/DO or equivalent medical degree.
• DEA license and BLS/ACLS certification.
• Satisfactory completion of an accredited internal medicine residency.
• Preferred experience in oncology BMTCI inpatient care.

Responsibilities

• Provide care to BMT and ICE-T patients under supervision of attendings.
• Perform admissions, orders, progress notes, and handoffs; manage discharges as appropriate.
• Discuss new admissions and clinical care issues with inpatient team and Attending physician.
