Job summary

Goldbelt Apex, part of the Healthcare Technology Transformation Group, seeks a Biomedical Equipment Technician (BMET) to inspect, calibrate, diagnose, maintain, and repair diverse medical and support equipment per OEM guidance. Travel may be required, and DoD civilian courses appear essential.

The role emphasizes meticulous documentation, safety adherence, and collaboration with healthcare teams to ensure equipment readiness and reliability.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree.
• Must have graduated from the DoD Biomedical Maintenance Course or an accredited civilian Biomedical Maintenance Course.
• Must graduate from the Planmeca digital dental course no later than 12 months after start.
• Minimum 4 years of field experience in inspecting, calibrating, diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing medical equipment per OEM guidance.
• Must be able to pass client background screening for security clearance.
• Travel may be required for this position.

Responsibilities

• Follow original equipment manufacturer guidance, AFI, regulations and unit direction.
• Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and calibration of biomedical equipment to ensure compliance with manufacturer specifications and safety regulations.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot malfunctions in medical devices, coordinating with vendors for service as needed.
• Maintain detailed service records, documenting repairs, maintenance actions, and performance evaluations.
• Assist in the installation and configuration of new biomedical equipment, ensuring proper functionality.
• Life cycle management, diagnostics, maintenance, and repair of medical and non‑medical equipment.
• Determines associated support items, supply requirements, and training needs.
• Prepare necessary support documentation and purchase requisitions of parts.
