Boston University’s Department of Biomedical Engineering invites applications for an anticipated teaching position beginning Spring 2027.

This non-tenure track role may be at the Instructor, Lecturer or Professor of Practice level, with primary needs in Thermodynamics and Statistical Mechanics, Device Diagnostics and Design, Polymers and Soft Materials, Computational Modeling and Data Sciences, Transport Phenomenon in Living Systems, and Senior Design.

Qualifications

• PhD in Biomedical Engineering or related field.
• Track record of excellence in teaching.
• Commitment to delivering excellent courses at all levels in BME.

Responsibilities

• Teach multiple courses per year (typically five).
• Serve on department committees and participate in advising undergraduate and/or masters students.
• Contribute to program and curriculum development and service activities.
