National Aviation Services is seeking a Full Time Supervisor in Austin, TX to lead cleaning crews across offices, lobbies, restrooms, and jet-bridge areas. You will assign tasks, monitor performance, ensure safety, and maintain documentation daily.

Full Time Supervisor AUSTIN, TX, US

A National Aviation Services Building Maintenance Cleaner Supervisor is responsible for coordinating and supervising the activities of workers engaged in cleaning our customers facilities. Facilities include offices, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, jet bridges, elevators, stairways, locker rooms, game rooms, and other work areas as assigned by the Station Manager.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assigns tasks to workers, and inspects completed work for conformance to standards.
  • Issues supplies and equipment.
  • Resolves employees' problems and/or refers matters to manager.
  • Records employees' hours worked on shift reports.
  • Completes all necessary BM checklists and/or documentation on a daily basis.
  • Submits requests for repair of cleaning equipment (if requested by Station Manager).
  • Requisitions or purchases cleaning supplies and equipment (if requested by Station Manager).
  • Performs all duties of Building Maintenance Cleaners supervised.
  • Other duties may be assigned.
  • Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints, and resolving problems.
Additional Skills and Abilities:
  • Must clock in/out at the beginning and end of the scheduled shift.
  • Proper uniform attire is required when reporting to work.
  • Safety measures must always be taken including wearing mandatory Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) during assigned shifts and as part of the uniform.
  • Adhere to rules and regulations outlined in Employee Handbook at all times.
  • Demonstrate respectful and helpful behavior to fellow employees, airline personnel, passengers, and other company employees working within the assigned area.
  • Must be capable of reading and understanding flight schedule(s).
  • Must fulfill FAA criminal background checks to qualify for unescorted access privileges to airport security identification display areas (SIDA), if applicable.
  • Must secure appropriate airport authority and/or US Customs security badges, if applicable.
  • A valid driver’s license is required by airport authority in order to operate a vehicle or equipment.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age, have access to reliable transportation, and authorized to work in the United States.
Physical Requirements:
  • Must be able to walk, bend, stoop, lift, reach, and push for extended periods of time during the assigned shift
  • Walking and climbing up and down stairs is required, access garbage disposal areas, and depart from planes throughout the shift.
  • Workspaces can be confined and small; must be able to work in tight spaces.
  • The ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds is required.
  • Exposure to inclement weather, including hot and cold temperatures, is common for this role.
