Job summary

Kyron Tool & Machine Co., Inc. in Columbus, Ohio, is seeking a Precision MIG/TIG Fabrication Welder. The role focuses on executing MIG and TIG welds to blueprints on steel, stainless steel, and aluminum, with fabrication from start to finish in a 30,000+ sq. ft. facility.

You’ll read prints, plan weld sequences, and verify dimensions while collaborating with machinists to move parts smoothly to the next operation. A strong eye for weld quality is essential.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of professional welding/fabrication experience.
• Strong MIG proficiency; TIG experience and sound technique.
• Excellent blueprint reading and layout skills.
• Accurate measuring, fitting, and fabrication capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Execute high-quality MIG and TIG welds on steel, stainless steel, and aluminum.
• Fabricate to blueprints/drawings/specifications with minimal supervision.
• Read and interpret prints; determine welding sequences and fabrication approaches.
• Verify material sizes and final part dimensions; maintain tight tolerances.
• Inspect welds for quality, appearance, and dimensional accuracy.
• Fit, assemble, and fabricate welded components from start to finish.
• Perform repair welding on equipment and components as needed.
• Operate forklifts and overhead cranes safely and responsibly.
• Provide technical input on potential welding jobs and fabrication methods.
