Job summary

Hog Slat, Inc., the world’s leading provider of parts and turnkey construction to the swine and poultry industries, is seeking an Assembler for our Clinton, NC manufacturing location. The role requires excellent reasoning and mathematical skills to assemble parts according to blueprints and specifications.

Essential duties include positioning parts, fastening with bolts, screws, rivets or other fasteners, removing small amounts of metal with files, and operating drill presses and pneumatic tools

Qualifications

• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds daily.

Responsibilities

• Position parts according to knowledge of the unit being assembled or following blueprints.
• Fasten parts together with bolts, screws, speed clips, rivets or other fasteners.
• Remove small quantities of metal with hand files and scrapers to produce close fit between parts.
• Operate drill presses, pneumatic and hand tools or riveting machines to assist in assembly operations.
• Adhere to all safety procedures.
