Job summary

Kahlig Auto Group is seeking skilled automotive technicians in Texas to diagnose and repair vehicles at a state‑of‑the‑art facility. We value solid ethics, learning, and advancement, and offer competitive pay based on experience.

You will work with top technicians and be part of a dealership that prides itself on service excellence. Qualified applicants have two years of mechanical repair experience and a willingness to train further.

Qualifications

• Two years of mechanical automotive repair experience (including vocational training).
• May have ASE or manufacturer certifications such as Master Certification.

Responsibilities

• Examine and diagnose vehicles.
• Discuss repairs with shop foreman or service advisor.
• Communicate additional service requests to service advisor.
• Plan work in cooperation with shop foreman.
• Provide labor estimates to service advisor.
• Monitor repair time and update service advisor.
• Maintain strict adherence to dealership policies on vehicle care and operation.
• Complete story and/or documentation for client repairs.
• Assist in mentoring technician trainees.
• Attend company and factory training.
• Keep current with factory technical bulletins.
• Follow regulations on disposal of hazardous waste.

Responsibilities

1. Examine and diagnose vehicles

12. Understand and follow federal, state and local regulations (such as disposal of hazardous waste)

Education and/or Experience

1. Two (2) years of mechanical automotive repair experience including vocational automotive repair education.
2. Previous experience as an automotive technician at a dealership or independent garage
3. Ability to learn and receive technical training in class and on the job.
4. Special compensation plans for ASE or Manufacturer certified technicians including Master Certification
