Qualifications

• Minimum Qualifications required for BLS Instructor role in good standing with AHA.
• Proficiency in BLS provider skills and instructor essentials.
• Live portion of BLS Instructor Course completed and monitored teaching experience.
• Course Director responsibilities and current BLS certification.
• Preferred qualification: current healthcare provider status.

Responsibilities

• To train participants to save lives of victims in cardiac arrest through high quality CPR.

Education

BLS instructor in good standing with the American Heart Association

Proficient in BLS provider skills

Completed the American Heart Association BLS instructor essentials course

Completed the Live portion of a BLS Instructor Course

Monitored teaching a BLS provider course by a Training Center or Regional faculty member or Program

Course Director

Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
