Job summary

Sharp HealthCare is seeking a Medical Assistant to support patients, clinicians, and staff across our San Diego sites. The role emphasizes efficient operations and quality patient care within a designated population.

The ideal candidate has completed a Medical Assistant program and holds AHA BLS certification; 1 year MA experience is preferred. Depending on experience, CMA certification is preferred by the California Certifying Board.

Qualifications

• 1 year MA experience in related clinical area.
• AHA Basic Life Support for Healthcare Professional (AHA BLS) - required.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients, staff and physicians to maintain efficiency and patient care.
• Prepare patients for examinations or procedures and document care.
• Administer medications safely per written orders with patient identifiers and verification.
• Assist in scheduling, front desk tasks, and coordination with physicians as needed.
