Amcor is hiring at its Dallas, TX facility to assist in setting up and operating thermoplastic extruders and related equipment to convert resins into blown film for flexible packaging. The role targets timely production that meets customer specs and safety policies.

You will work under the Lead Operator, perform equipment setup, monitor line performance, and help train team members on procedures, safety, and quality standards. Fluency in English with basic math and computer skills is required.

Qualifications

• Basic math skills.
• Solid computer skills.
• Good English skills; bilingual a plus.
• Experience with blown film extrusion.
• 2-5 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment with extrusion experience preferred.
• Ability to troubleshoot & solve problems.
• Ability to provide guidance and leadership.
• Strong interpersonal skills.

Responsabilités

• Follows Amcor Safety policies.
• Reviews Production Order Form specifications to insure the correct equipment, packaging supplies and raw materials are available to produce a product that meets the customer's specifications.
• Assists in performing equipment production setup under the direction of the Lead Operator or his designee.
• Set ups may include but are not limited to: extruder, die and tower; treater stations; in-line bag machines; winders; post gusseter; folder; in-line press; separator.
• Periodically observes and checks finished film and takes corrective action to eliminate sub-standard product.
• Under direction of the Lead Operator may train team members in correct operating procedures, safety and quality policy procedures.
