Highline Warren is seeking a Department Zone Lead to oversee production activities within a designated zone. You will lead a team, ensure schedules, quality, and safety compliance, and collaborate with other department leads to optimize flow.

Qualifications

• Experience leading teams in a high-speed production environment.
• Supervisor/leadership experience preferred.
• Experience with lean manufacturing practices highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and prioritize production activities within the designated zone.
• Ensure schedules are followed and products meet specifications and quality standards.
• Collaborate with department leads to optimize overall production flow.
• Lead a team of production workers and operators within the zone.
• Provide guidance, training, and support to team members to enhance skills and productivity.
• Encourage a positive and cooperative working atmosphere to foster team cohesion and morale.
• Implement and maintain quality control measures to ensure products meet quality standards.
• Perform quality control testing, recording, and charting procedures; handle nonconforming product per policy.
• Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify quality issues or non-compliance.
• Promote and enforce a strong safety culture within the zone; follow safety protocols.
• Identify and address potential safety hazards promptly to prevent accidents.
• Oversee machinery and equipment in the zone; coordinate maintenance and repairs.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency enhancements.
• Implement Lean/Six Sigma to optimize production processes.
• Maintain records of production activities, quality reports, and inventory levels.
• Prepare and present regular reports on production performance and KPIs to management.
• Participate in training programs to stay updated on manufacturing techniques.
